Does setting "dom.ipc.plugins.java.enabled" back to "false" fix it?
Flags: needinfo?(virgil.dicu)

dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.i386.javaplugin2_npapi.plugin - false
dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.i386.javaappletplugin.plugin - false

and the issue is still there.

Please try toggling "dom.ipc.plugins.java.enabled".
I realise now that it's probably not present, so add it manually and set it to false to test.
Nominating for tracking since this is a regression.
I almost WONTFIXed this, but I really don't think it's worth tracking and prioritizing compared with our total list of things to work on.

I added manually "dom.ipc.plugins.java.enabled", set to false, and the issue is solved.
