Some or all of the folders within the history window disappear after the window
has been maximized, under certain conditions. See "Steps to Reproduce" below.
Reproducible: Always (for me at least)
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the history window (not the one in the sidebar)
2. Make sure it is not maximized, but opened to the default size or smaller.
3. Close it.
4. Open it again (so it is unmaximized)
5. Open a folder, such as "Today'
6. Open a folder within the "Today" folder for example, such as bugzilla.mozilla.org
7. Now, there must be enough URLs listed in this folder for a scrollbar to be
required when the history window is maximized in step # nine. A couple of dozon
URLs at least.
8. Now scroll down to the very bottom of the window
9. Now maximize the history window. Either some or all of the folders should
disappear, with only the white background in their place.
10. Wonder how anybody finds these bugs.
Actual Results: Some or all folders in the window disappear, usually all.
Expected Results: It should have worked normally - the folders shouldn't have
disappeared :)
You might not be able to reproduce this bug yourself. I've tried to explain it
as best I can, but it has to be done just so to appear.

I'll bet this is just tree wierdness.. that will be fixed if/when blake switches
us over to the outliner :)

Blake has switched to the outliner widget for the history window.
WFM on build 2001070504 on Win2K.
Reporter, can you still dupe this bug?

I can reproduce this bug in the Manage Bookmarks window (same tree widget as
the old History window).
Confirming, and changing Component and Summary.
Status: UNCONFIRMED → NEW
Component: History: Global → Bookmarks
Ever confirmed: true
Summary: Folders in the history window disappear after the window has been maximized → Folders in the Manage Bookmarks window disappear after the window has been maximized
Re, Chris:
I downloaded the latest nightly build (2001070604) to test out bug #85723 on
Win95 in relation to the new History Window outliner.
However:
1) The performance of the History has gone from bad to much, much worse.
Something is very wrong here.
2) The folders won't open! I can't open a 2nd-level folder to test bug #85723 .
I suppose this means another bug needs to fixed for us to discover whether this
bug still exists.

The problem with second-level folders in history seems to be fixed now.
Behaviour is the same from my 2001-07-05 comments.

Outliner will fix this (as I suspected it did for history)
