This works for me on my LG Nexus 4 (Android 4.2.2) :: I/MediaPluginHost( 2741): Android Version is: 17 I/MediaPluginHost( 2741): Android Release Version is: 4.2.2 I/MediaPluginHost( 2741): Android Device is: Nexus 4 I/MediaPluginHost( 2741): Android Manufacturer is: LGE I/MediaPluginHost( 2741): Loading OMX Plugin: libomxplugin.so I/MediaPluginHost( 2741): OMX plugin successfully loaded I/OMXClient( 2741): Using client-side OMX mux. This will work depending on the Android device, Android version and version of Firefox you are using as there are currently a number of conditions where media playback is not at the present time supported. Currently the following are only supported: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Blocklisting/Blocked_Graphics_Drivers#On_Android_2 Can you provide details on your device, OS version and version of Firefox?

As well, if you meet the requirements can you also provide a logcat from the moment you hit the the download button on the URL? Output will show us if anything is wrong and we can find already open bugs.
Component: Download Manager → General
Hardware: Other → ARM

Swarnava - you can use either Android SDK (if you have it installed on PC) or the logcat app from Android.

You can use aLogcat on Google Play to capture the sequence of events that happen when you attempt to reproduce the problem. Also, in about:config, if you set "stagefright.force-enabled" to true. Then go to http://cd.pn/b2 and click play; if that plays fine then this is a device that is currently blocklisted. If you reset the preference and attempt to play again, it should not play.
