Jim I think the crashiness of OMTC is landing in bug 883352. Once that lands can we enable the pref by default? Anything else blocking it?

I'd like to get the perf tests in bug 859155 landed and some data collected before hand. If mbrubeck can't get to those before he goes on pto I'll switch out reviewers.
