Details

From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:0.9.1) Gecko/20010607
BuildID: 2001060703

When using IMAP to manage the mail, deleted mail is just marked deleted, not
immediatly removed.

Usually, an IMAP aware mail client will allow two operations with the messages.
Either restore (undelete) them or purge (totally remove) them (one at a time, or
all at once). Mozilla seems to offer none.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Log in to an IMAP account
2.mark a message, and press "Del"
3.Your'e stuck - no restoring or deleting.

Actual Results: Nowhere to go from here except load another IMAP client and
purge (or undelete) the message).

Expected Results: Mozilla should allow (either with right-click menu, or a
button) to restore or purge the current message. It should also have an option
to purge all deleted messages in the folder.

Probably, an option to purge all messages when quiting should be addded to the
preferences.

Until that is done, Mozilla cannot be used as a standalone IMAP client.
