Thousands of crash reports in my about:crashes from a single day

My about:crashes shows 2000+ crashes from March 21st. March 6th has 280 reports, February 14th has 195, February 19th has 98. Other dates look normal. I don't remember anything unusual about these dates, but the page does show unique submission IDs for each crash report. Some of these links go to the "About Throttling" page and some change GUIDs after being clicked(!) in Nightly 23 and lead to a 404 page. These are unsubmitted crash reports (you can tell because submitted crash reports start with bp- and end with six digits that are YYMMDD). These are almost certainly plugin crashes. Another user reported something similar in bug 690841, I filed bug 691432 but that was waiting on click-to-play (which we could probably use now).

vladan can you confirm they are plugin crashes, which would make this a dup to bug 690841?

The vast majority are plugin crashes (or hangs).
