+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #857697 +++

When bug 857697 & its counterparts landed, it broke the Thunderbird build because we were being forced onto building with gcc 4.7 due to the way the mozconfigs currently are. I've currently worked around it by forcing us back to the old version.

There's no reason for Thunderbird builders not be also be run on the x86-64 mock environments (and pick up gcc 4.7 so we're in the same state on Linux as FF), so please can we make it happen?

Extra sorry that I (of all people) forgot about TB needing to be patched here.

This patch also unifies some other recent package changes as well, which makes sense per :standard8 over IRC.

Ben r? to you since most of us are gone today (monday) so if you go to reconf and this passes review, by all means land it for me.

TB trunk linux builders will need a clobber after this lands, and probably need a mozconfig change depending on how Mark applied the bandaid. I think we can leave Mark to do that though
