STR: 1. Load some website that has a mixed content warning. I found this problem when reporting bug 844556 comment 5. 2. Open Developer Console 3. Load https://www.omnigroup.com/blog/entry/omnipresence-document-syncing-ships-this-week 4. This https page will fail to load the embedded Vimeo videos, logging a warning like: [11:43:38.162] GET http://player.vimeo.com/video/66598535 [Mixed Content] [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 273ms] 5. Click the warning to select that line and then CMD+C to copy it. 6. Paste the warning into another document. ACTUAL RESULT: [11:43:38.162] GET http://player.vimeo.com/video/66598535 [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 273ms] EXPECTED RESULT: [11:43:38.162] GET http://player.vimeo.com/video/66598535 [Mixed Content] [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 273ms]

There were lots of changes in the old Error Console (Actual Browser Console) and I'm receiving this error: 12:18:39.838 Blocked loading mixed active content "http://player.vimeo.com/video/66598535" . Is this error about which you are talking in Comment 0? If it is, I confirm the fix is verified.

Hi Mihai, Here are the steps to test this. Open webconsole and click the Net panel. Go to https://people.mozilla.com/~tvyas/mixeddisplay.html Copy paste a line that looks like: [16:04:52.626] GET http://cisforcookie.org/CookieMonster.jpg [HTTP/1.1 304 Not Modified 163ms] Above is what I got with a version of Nightly that does not have the fix in this bug. With the a version of Nighlty that has the fix you should get something like: [16:04:52.626] GET http://cisforcookie.org/CookieMonster.jpg [Mixed Content] [HTTP/1.1 304 Not Modified 163ms]
Flags: needinfo?(mihai.morar)
Something looks weird here. Loading your page from Comment 3 I only get this error, but the image is displayed: 12:10:43.609 Loading mixed (insecure) display content on a secure page "http://cisforcookie.org/CookieMonster.jpg"[Learn More] mixeddisplay.html OS: Windows 7 x64, Ubuntu 12.10 x86 FF Version: Latest Nightly 27

Looking closer I see this on a build that has the fix. Latest Nightly (2013/09/23)
Yes(In reply to Mihai Morar, QA (:MihaiMorar) [needinfo? me for any requests] from comment #5) > Created attachment 808473 [details] > Prtscn.png > > Looking closer I see this on a build that has the fix. Latest Nightly > (2013/09/23) Yes copy/paste the line with the red and confirm that when you paste, the words "[Mixed Content]" are present. If you return to the page and don't see the GET request for Mixed Content in red, then try clearing your cache or opening a new browser profile. Cached content does not get sent to the Net tab of the Webconsole.

I confirm I got same results on latest nightly 27, and the fix is verified. [11:28:00.895] GET http://cisforcookie.org/CookieMonster.jpg [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 960ms]

Unfortunately the [Mixed Content] substring is not pasted on any other document. So I have to reopen this issue. Sorry I haven't seen it is not paste when I pasted here the results on Comment 7.

(In reply to Mihai Morar, QA (:MihaiMorar) from comment #7) > I confirm I got same results on latest nightly 27, and the fix is verified. > > [11:28:00.895] GET http://cisforcookie.org/CookieMonster.jpg [HTTP/1.1 200 > OK 960ms] I'm not sure how you got this string in a Nightly 27 build. We no longer have [timestamp] in brackets. I just tested the page as recommended by Tanvi in comment 3. I get the following output: 22:51:37.487 GET https://people.mozilla.com/~tvyas/mixeddisplay.html [HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently 823ms] 22:51:38.296 GET https://people.mozilla.org/~tvyas/mixeddisplay.html [HTTP/1.1 200 OK 1032ms] 22:51:39.382 Loading mixed (insecure) display content on a secure page "http://cisforcookie.org/CookieMonster.jpg"[Learn More] mixeddisplay.html 22:51:39.521 GET http://cisforcookie.org/CookieMonster.jpg [Mixed Content][HTTP/1.1 200 OK 801ms] Notice the last line includes [Mixed Content]. As such, I am marking the bug as fixed.
