There should be a mail folders sidebar tab. This would allow checking mail w/o
need to switch windows into the mail component. It would make the sidebar much
more useful.
1. Mail messages should be sorted into aged folders like history, plus there
should be a special "unread" folder. New mail goes into the unread folder.
2. There should be preferences to showing message subject or sender
3. Single Clicking on a message should show the mail message in the main browser
window. Double Clicking (or middle mouse button) should open the message in a
new window.
4. There should be  "get msg" and "new msg" buttons
5. Right click on a message line should bring the same mail context menu that
shows when you right click the message in the mail component (to allow reply...)
6. Right click on the displayed message in the browser window shoud bring the
same context menu as right click on a displayed message, plus "Back" and
"Forward" to navigate back to your previous message or webpage.

Actual Results:  No "Mail" tab

Expected Results:  should be a "Mail" tab

it's non-trivial, especially with a mail history view like Sirron describes.

we used to have something like this, but it just showed biff related info.

The history view is just a suggestion (to make navigating thru mail eaiser). I'd
be happy without the history folders, If I could just see the regular mail
folder list with the mail items listed (and selectable) under appropriate
current folders (inbox, draft, sent...)

Would this be done something like the Opera mail client, where the sidebar
contains all the folders, and the view of the mailbox and message are embedded
in a tab? I think being able to fully embed the mail client into the browser
would be ideal.
