Nothing happens, no error reported

This is because the marketplace preinstalled app at least in Gaia doesn't have the web activities implemented yet. If we need to push an updated app, then we should ask the marketplace team.

I'm going to first bounce this into the marketplace component under the assumption this could be a general problem first. If this ends up being that we just need to update the app on device, then we can bounce this back into Gaia to push an updated app onto the Gaia repository.

Is it safe to assume that Web Activities is not enabled on the Marketplace app on any devices with either 1.0.1 or 1.1?

That if this change were enabled, would we be looking at inclusion on phones with 1.2 at the earliest? 

(or is this not how it works)

If the user has not updated the marketplace app to include the updated packaged app that would include these web activities, then these web activities will not be enabled currently on the 1.01 and 1.1 build. As soon as the user completes an app update of the marketplace app that contains those web activities, then they should be able to take advantage of marketplace's web activities they have included.

We could still enable this as early as 1.01. The only difference for 1.01 is that users would get this feature after updating the marketplace app that included these web activities.

For 1.1, we could easily push an updated app into the build that contains these web activities by default.
