I've got a subscriber on support-thunderbird@lists.mozilla.org saying he wasn't receiving messages. He tried to resubscribe, and got a bounce message saying: Remote host said: 550 5.1.1 <request@lists.mozilla.org>: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in local recipient table [RCPT_TO] I just tried sending a message to it and also got the same message. There are a few members who's addresses I have set up filters for in <https://lists.mozilla.org/admin/support-thunderbird/privacy/spam>, but I haven't been getting moderator requests for their posts lately. I do not see the problem in support-firefox.
I sent a test e-mail to support-thunderbird@lists.mozilla.org and received a waiting for moderator approval e-mail. What's the others user e-mail? does it also end in ilias.ca ? or a different domain name?
Severity: critical → normal
The domain on the user's email is bellsouth.net. If you subscribe to the mailing list, are you receiving messages posted via NNTP?

What is the subscriber's email? As a list admin you can actually subscribe the user yourself. Did he try to subscribe by sending an email support-thunderbird-join@lists.mozilla.org[1]. Or try to join from here? https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/support-thunderbird The bounce message indicate that he tried to send to request@lists.mozilla.org to subscribe which is not the right way [1]: http://www.list.org/mailman-member/node13.html

A couple of days ago, I asked the list member to post in this bug, but unfortunately he hasn't. He did clarify that the bounce message came when he tried to unsubscribe (trying to resubscribe). Today I got an email from a different list member saying "I subscribe in digest format. Why does the daily digest only contain a single posting?" The newsgroup gets many messages a day.
(In reply to Chris Ilias [:cilias] from comment #4) > A couple of days ago, I asked the list member to post in this bug, but > unfortunately he hasn't. He did clarify that the bounce message came when he > tried to unsubscribe (trying to resubscribe). I can't debug this without more info, the bounce looks like its from requests@lists.mozilla.org which is not the right email to subscribe to a list > > Today I got an email from a different list member saying "I subscribe in > digest format. Why does the daily digest only contain a single posting?" > The newsgroup gets many messages a day. Lets not bring in a separate issue to this bug, feel free to open another bug for this issue. Without much info, digest[1] looks like its working as intended by getting one mail a day [1]: http://www.gnu.org/software/mailman/mailman-member/node27.html I'm marking this incomplete, feel free to reopen if you have more info
