hook bmo up to graphite for measuring internal performance. the api couldn't be simpler, socket connection and write "$path $value $time\n" https://github.com/slanning/Net-Graphite/blob/master/lib/Net/Graphite.pm
we're using elasticsearch for internal performance measuring (implemented in bug 956230).
