Details
User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:22.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/22.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130618035212
Steps to reproduce:
On Windows 7 Firefox 22 I selected "Use system proxy settings". In the settings "Bypass proxy server for local addresses" is checked.
Actual results:
When entering some local sites in the browser ( http://local_name/... ) the next message is displayed:
----------------------------------------------------------------
The requested URL could not be retrieved
While trying to retrieve the URL: http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The following error was encountered:
Unable to determine IP address from host name for xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The dnsserver returned:
Name Error: The domain name does not exist.
This means that:
The cache was not able to resolve the hostname presented in the URL.
Check if the address is correct.
Your cache administrator is webmaster.
----------------------------------------------------------------
Expected results:
I expect to see the local web site. For this to happen I need to manually copy the proxy settings and add <local> to the "No proxy required for" list.
