892298 - [Australis] On switching to tab, URL and tab are temporarily blacked out

I'm seeing this occasionally to frequently while using UX Nightly (Australis).

When I switch to a tab I will sometimes see that the URL is blacked out for a second or two.  Sometimes the tab itself is also invisible during this period, but not always.  The attached screenshot shows both.

I currently use the light theme/persona "Gloss. Black" and the Stylish Style "Midnight Surfing - Global Dark Style".
I've never seen this before with the normal theme.
The Stylish style I'm using does not, as I understand, interact with chrome.  I had to modify it slightly to fix Firefox issues (theming about:newtab, etc, as well as lowercasing some all caps).

My typical behavior is to ctrl + click to open and the ctrl + Pg down to switch.

(I wonder if looking at the shade of black/gray would help in seeing who is drawing it?)

Can you try reproduce this problem on the regular mozilla-central nightly from nightly.mozilla.org?

Was not able to reproduce on moz-central.

This seems unlikely to be Australis related. Can you reproduce with a new profile?

Would also like to know if disabling HW acceleration fixes it.
