User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:22.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/22.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130618035212
Steps to reproduce:
Switch a webpage into or out of responsive design view either through the menu "Web Developer" > "Responsive Design View" or using the shortcut "Ctrl+Shift+M". Select text on the current webpage.
Actual results:
The text selection color is gray instead of the default blue. The issue is resolved by clicking any part of the Firefox window (URL Bar, Forward/Back Buttons, Tabs) or a different program and then clicking in the webpage again.
Expected results:
The text selection should still appear as default blue.

My guess goes to suspected bug:
Margaret Leibovic — Bug 847942 - Make active tap highlight color gray instead of orange. r=wesj
But it's for Firefox Android.

Sorry I wasn't able to test earlier, but I can now verify that it occurs on OS X 10.8 as well

We'll take a low risk uplift, but this is not critical enough to track for upcoming releases.

It happens because the content is not focused. And the content is not focused because the button have a tabbindex=0.

Having same problem with Firefox22 when done for the first time after recent browser start.
Closing the responsive design window and again getting back into that mode by pressing Ctrl+Shift+M doesn't give a gray highlight again, its gives the default orange on Ubuntu and blue on Windows.

Looks like this problem isn't occurring anymore. Tested on : Nightly 35.0a1 (2014-10-04).
Requesting someone to verify this and close this bug
