+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #895060 +++ * GOAL: the day *after* the event hosts event, we want to send them an email that thanks them, provide them with links report back, and travel up an engagement ladder * QUESTION: how do we do this? ** What's the mechanism? Is there a way to use Blue State Digital (BSD) for this? * Brett: going to mark this as "needinfo" for you, because not sure who else to ask
* Amira will provide the copy and content for the email itself. * Amira can you paste an etherpad draft here when you're ready so that mentor team can review?
Flags: needinfo?(brett)
We would need to have a backend system that sends automatic emails. Currently, we don't have this. It's filed, though, so marking this ticket as blocked by that.
Depends on: 895541

Also worth noting that this is unlikely to get build during maker party, so we need to build manual processes in the meantime.
* @ JBuck: can you update once you land the other email reply bugs you're already working on? To make sure we do what's needed on our side to make this particular email event work properly?
Right now there are two emails we can send: * When you create your account * When you create an event Currently, these emails are only enabled on staging until we get the legal a-okay in bug 906533. This bug in particular will be a little bit more difficult to do, as we don't have any sort of scheduling system. Something I need to figure out...
We need a strategy around email blasts, when and what to send, etc. Assigning to Brett to figure out how we're doing this.

The Webmaker Events platform was deprecated in 2015, so, I'm closing this bug.
