User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:22.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/22.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130618035212 Steps to reproduce: Sort mail by From. See numerous emails, with different From Addresses, but identical From Display Names. E.g. "Debt Consolidation" or "Online.Bachelors.Degree" Actual results: Easy to train From Address as junk (but minimal effect, spam email addresses change so often). Don't know how to train using the displayed name. Expected results: Have ability to right-click a display name, pick "Train this From Name as Junk" or "Train this From Name as Junk and Move to Trash"
Thanks for the suggestion. Junk training doesn't operate on user-chosen fields. It operates on predetermined header fields, and on What you want can be done with filters. right+click on an address and "create filter from" to mark a message as junk (but by default it will stay in the current folder), delete it, etc Junk can't do what you suggest - junk operates on multiple trained messages, i.e. in aggregate on many messages marked junk and not-junk. But you can tune junk operation to some degree, using addressbook whitelist for example. see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Junk_Mail_Controls for more info
I'd say this is WFM - it already works this way when you mark a message as junk - the user just doesn't know it
