Based on recommendations of our SEO audit and other research, we should create an HTML version of a sitemap that is easily crawalable by search engines and humans. It can be linked from the universal footer.

I think this sitemap can replace the current Website Directory https://www.mozilla.org/community/directory.html if we also have links to other Mozilla sites, not only pages within www.mozila.org. Community sites are still accessible from https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/contribute/#location

And importantly, a "dynamic" sitemap won't be helpful, IMO. People may expect an organized sitemap like http://www.apple.com/sitemap/ or http://www.microsoft.com/en/us/sitemap.aspx

Another possible solution is making Tabzilla a "mega menu", instead of introducing a separate sitemap page.

I think this is a nice-to-have stuff when the new Firefox family product pages are launched in Q1 2014. As I wrote before, a dynamically-generated sitemap might be useless for visitors unlike the XML sitemaps, so I'm changing the bug summary.

I'm reorganizing the sitemap spreadsheet and prototyping a mega menu: https://github.com/kyoshino/megazilla
