26.0a1 (2013-08-23) is having huge problems with repainting. I have to keep putting FF into background and back to foreground to file this bug report. Otherwise, I don't see what I am typing. And there are black areas around FF's window depending on what's happening.
This started today, when I let FF update itself to this this version.

This should be fixed by the patch to bug 908822 Can someone on Windows 8 confirm this?

I don't see it on my Surface Pro, but I never did see it on this machine, so I don't know if that's a confirmation or not. Won't have access to the laptop I did see it on until Sunday.

I am unable to reproduce the initial issue on Windows 8 x64. Can you please verify this is fixed on the latest Aurora 26.0a2? http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-aurora/

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 I'd reproduced the issue on 24th August Nightly build (20130824030203) having HWA off: UI issues (black areas, the top bar copies the UI's from the below windows), the inserted text is not always displayed, text cannot be highlighted etc. On latest Aurora (20131009004001) the issues are not reproducing. Marking as verified and removing the "verifyme" keyword.
