* Symptom:
1. Unable to play the music via music app

* Reproduce Steps
1. Import some songs into device
2. Open the Music app.
3. Go to the Artist list view.
4. Select an artist.
5. Choose to play a single song by the artist.

* Actual results:
1. Unable to play the music via music app

* Expected results:
1. The musics could be played via music player properly, and only the selected song is played

I took a quick test and found only songs like ogg can be played, looks like the hardware codec supports are not enabled on Nexus 4.

Clearing smoketest keyword also as these bugs right now aren't red flag bugs right now. They will be when a mainline production device uses JB.

I try to push gaia/test_media/Music/g_128orig.mp3 into Nexus4 v1.2 build.
After launch Music app and touch g_128orig, it only play 2 seconds then stop.

That's a different bug than this. This bug says that the song doesn't play at all, where as what you stating here says it plays for 2 seconds. What Sotaro suggests sounds right.

I tested it on Nexus-4 master version. And I can't reproduce issue from comment 7.

I tested it and found another issue.

g_128orig.mp3 should have duration of 30 seconds only but it will be show as 41 seconds.
So when player is playing at 30 seconds then player will end to play.

I confirmed the the the above problem happens on v1.2/master hamachi. It seems a regression of Bug 831224. I am going to create a bug for it.

FYI, recently some regressions around mp3 were found like following.

- Bug 914870 - [B2G] [Buri] [1.2] [Music] Long delay experienced when a song is selected
- Bug 922334 - crash in sysconf [B2G][Browser][Youtube] Playing youtube videos crash the browser tab
- Bug 922953 - [inari][music] Long mp3s "skip" like a record when first starting.
- Bug 919793 - HomeScreen becomes unresponsive (for atleast 1 minute) during playback of music (FFOS 1.2)
