Ever since bug 89345 and release 0.9.2, attempts to open a page via a link from
another program, in particular Outlook, open only my homepage. Links from one
page to another within Mozilla were fixed, but not from other programs. Instead,
a new window opens to my homepage.
I had also tried blocking the ability to open a new page using the prefs.js line
suggested in the release notes. Doing that did not block this new page. I have
since removed the line from prefs.js but Mozilla continues to fail to open the
right page.

I've read 88083. That reports opening two windows, one blank and the other with
the correct page. I don't see how that is anything like this report. I'm
reporting that only one window is opened and it has my homepage - it is not
blank and does not have the correct page.

Can you try this with a newer build? I just tested on trunk build 2001071304 on
NT 4 from Outlook 2000 and could not reproduce the problem in normal or turbo modes.

I'm currently using trunk build 2001071604 and I still see the problem. In case
it may be caused by corruption in my prefs file (which I edited to add the
noAccess line for new windows, then took that back out), I'm attaching that file.

In order to access a site linked from email where the URL was hidden, I
temporarily made IE my default browser. After returning to Mozilla, URLs linked
from Outlook are again working. They always open a new window. They also open an
extra window labelled "Locate Link Browser".
