Build ID: 2001-07-17-05-0.9.2 Reproducible: Always Steps: 1. Launch the browser 2. Open Netscape Mail window 3. Select POP Account 4. Delete a few messages (like 20 or so) 5. Click on Trash Folder 6. Select All 7. Click on Delete Result: Selected messages are disappear, RE-appear, and then disappear again.
Problem is occurring on IMAP or POP?

I believe this is an IMAP + "mark-as-deleted" issue. Dupe of bug 149054? What makes this bug particularly dangerous, is that when the messages disappear, it causes the summary pane items to shift up. If the user wants to read or delete an e-mail while this happens, he will accidentally open (a not-yet-marked-junk-with-remote-content) or delete (an important message). It sounds like an unlikely scanario, but this happens to me very often, especially wile large amounts of junk are being analyzed->deleted. Dataloss!
sorry for the spam. making bugzilla reflect reality as I'm not working on these bugs. filter on FOOBARCHEESE to remove these in bulk.
