but I don't think it's the same issue as your original problem report, because bp-1f126b3b-d99a-462d-99e9-b7ccf2140107 is not a startup crash

As this bug is linked from Crash reports and so may be read by those experiencing crashes I thought I would mention

> some news?
Perhaps there is a better method of resolving this issue.
These Bug reports are used for developers fixing Firefox problems, once the problem is reproducible. That is not yet the case in this bug report. May I suggest that you may be able to find help better by reading and following advice in the KB article
* https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-crashes-troubleshoot-prevent-and-get-help#w_get-help-fixing-this-crash
For a general problem with crashes that article gives this as the linkto use to ask for help
* https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/desktop/fix-problems/form?search=Firefox+crashes&step=aaq-question
However IF after reading that article you still have no solution and it is a crash that is silent and at startup my personal suggestion would be
1. Try following the additional advice in the article
**Forum Response - Firefox crashes when you open it (Windows)**
https://support.mozilla.org/kb/forum-response-firefox-crashes-when-you-open-it-wi
2. If you still have problems with a start up crash ask a support question using the special link https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/new/desktop/fix-problems/form?search=Firefox+startup+crash--Bug916489 &step=aaq-question

above is the related automatically sent crash report.
==
When clicked on the above crash report, there is at the end a 'head', 'Related Bugs', it refers to this:
977289RESOLVED WORKSFORME crash in EMPTY: no crashing thread identified
916489UNCONFIRMED --- Unknown silent crash on startup
the first id is crossed out, the second refers to this bug.
===
-a. normally surfing; is safe, secure, no problems with FW- or AV-sw;
-b. -> a new 'defence update' is waiting or i/t process of installing;
=V
-b. the MS-defence-update cannot be installed at once. It refers to a 'known'? MS-update-install-error. Probably from an udp-port. WindowsUpdate-service needs to be stopped, in the MS-Win-submap 'SoftwareDistribution'-map, all files& maps need to be deleted. This requires admin-rights. Also the submap 'Download' (i/t sme submap 'SW-Distr.) needs to be deleted. WindowsUpdate-service needed to be restarted. A new search is required for the MS-update-install-process. Mostly, (but here Im not sure) a MS FW-defence-update will be found and can then be installed properly.
V.
Perhaps, is it possible above steps are related to the above Moz.FF. 'Crash'/'Bug'-reports?
V=
I hope this FB could help (a bit) in how these crashreports are created. Maybe they are, is it related to other update- & install-processes waiting/ performing at the background of the -whole- pc-system?
V==

-after adding this comment I'm about/ I'v deleted the only Moz.FF(Aurora)crashreport in my pc-system. It says, "It has allready be sent at 26 july, 10:07.

2014-08-02 18:05:?? ??? ....... (NO) Bug ID (not a new bug) at time (about/around, so +/-) of the new update(s) of today, there were NO made crash reports.

Under '=' (2014-07-31) however Iv sent (and made by accident) a new Bug ID that I had my intend to bring it under this Bug ID. That crash report was sent in twice, first automatically, secondly (some hours later) 'handmade-sent'. With my check of the updated browser I found the thread wit the earlier made comment, so added also this one in, ...,

p/s
I thought more input of these 'Unknown silent crash on startup'-crash-reports, 'automatically-sent' in ánd 'handmade-sent' in, probably could tackle the issue behind these 'Unknown silent crashes'. Maybe its related to memory (flash&/or;RAM&/or;ROM) of the owners pc (hw&sw). From (MS)Dos-time I can remeber it does matter which sw is how&when loaded in (operating)system. Browser(sw) is very close related to these basic OS-configuratie's, ... . I hope these thoughts do help a bit, ... .

not sure what excatly happened, but I dont know how to edit above comment. I hope the link will show others the why and what so on (the in's/out's) of the newly created crash-rep. on my system.
additional information. In the meantime in the background adobe-sw is updating, including the plugins and so on I assume, ...,

Probably also interesting to the community:
"Adobe Reader X (10.1.12) - Nederlands" is installed, succesfully without the need to reboot the whole AGT-system, my standalone, not mobile pc-system. The first updating attempt failed, updating directly from within the started AdobeSw (and adobe SW-installer).
Going back to own business,
with kind regards,
A.G. Terpstra (Gustar)
