Lawson Portal caused all kinds of issues with browsers other than IE (see bug 643314 and bug 763227). I guess they decided that (at least for now) they'd fix it by just shutting all other browsers out.
A search for "Lawson Portal" yields lots of installations. The product seems to have been renamed to "Infor Lawson", with information to be found at the attached URL.
Given that this is widely used, we should see if we can get them to support other browsers.

It looks like Infor bought Lawson in around 2010 or so and switched the platform to use MS Sharepoint. There are discussions of problems logging into Lawson/Sharepoint with Firefox. Also, looking at MS Sharepoint browser support, it appears it uses ActiveX for some functionality and provides a downgraded experience for Firefox users.
I'm not sure how successful we would be in trying to get them to switch from Sharepoint if that is really what they are using and I seriously doubt we can convince Microsoft to drop ActiveX.

(dusting off old bugs...)
Hm, the URL doesn't resolve anymore.
Googling around for "lawson portal", I get 3 sets of results:
1) seems ok? https://lawsoness.che.org/LogOn.aspx?ReturnUrl=https%3a%2f%2flawsoness.che.org%2fdefault.aspx
2) unsupported message
3) newer Infor seems ok? https://jrsext.simplot.com:1443/sso/SSOServlet?_action=LOGINASSERT&_ssoOrigUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fjrsext.simplot.com%3A1443%2Fprodhcm%2FEmployeeSelfService%2Fhtml%2FEmployeeSelfService%3Fcsk.CHP%3DSTANDARD&_TKM=TODO-UI&_serviceName=PRODHCM.HCMAPP.EMPLOYEESELFSERVICE&_ssoTenant=DEFAULT&_ssovaltoken=SPEXFma9y8VxKMUzQuOuf%2BqBnVQ%3D
Given that the newer Infor logins don't block us... I'm not sure there's much to do beyond ask old installations to upgrade, on a site-by-site basis.
https://docs.infor.com/help_lawson_cloudsuite_10.0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.lawson.help.hr%2Fcom.lawson.help.shrag-uwa_10.0.6.0%2FL27968888827167.html seems to indicate that Firefox is officially supported w/ Infor.
Let's go ahead and close as INCOMPLETE -- not a great resolution, but at least newer instances should work.
