User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130911164256 Steps to reproduce: I tired to set up a Calendar Sync (with a Kronolith server). I created a new Calendar in the FirefoxOS calendar, choose CalDAV, pasted the URL to the .ics file provided by Kronolith. (same worked well with Thunderbird/Lightning) Actual results: After entering my credentials I activated "save" and got a "Server error. Check your login and try again" Expected results: - It should have just worked, saved and synced or if icalendar-files and CalDAV are not compatible it should have provided a "Calendar-Type: ICS" aside of CalDAV.

I see the same thing with calypso 1.4: http://keithp.com/calypso/ and an empty calendar. That's with a recently, locally built nexus-s 1.5.0.0-prerelease. Please let me know if I can help track down the problem.

I think there are two related but still separate issues here: CalDav compatibility and ICS files support. As for Calypso, this seems to be a compatibility problem with CalDav, but looking at Rob's issue, I'd also suspect HTTPS certificate (maybe it is self-signed)? I assume Jan's original report is about bare ICS file support, which is currently missing – I have to provide a full-fledged CalDav server, not just a single calendar file; this can be actually worked around with Calypso – http://keithp.com/blogs/calypso/ – but you have to run it somewhere. I'd like to just import a bare ICS (Icalendar) file from the server (with a periodic refresh) or possibly from a local file. This would also allow Calendar application to handle webcal:// pseudo-scheme, which is basically just a location of a single ICS calendar.
>I assume Jan's original report is about bare ICS file support
yes, it is.

we have an user story for it on Bug 1018818 as well.
Please add ICAL support to Firefox OS. It seems that there is no support for it. I cannot sync my Zimbra Calendar with it.

(In reply to sznattila from comment #7) > Please add ICAL support to Firefox OS. > It seems that there is no support for it. I cannot sync my Zimbra Calendar > with it. That is strange. Zimbra provides just fine CalDAV for me (on caldav://$SERVER/dav/$USEREMAIL/Calendar/ endpoint, but it is most likely configurable).
Is it pssible that I have this issue because our zimbra is the "free" version? Anyway Ical is needed to feed my facebook calendar into my zte open c fxos calendar too.
