Steps to reproduce:
Downloaded version 24.0 and installed
Actual results:
Font size for menu bars, folder list in side pane doubles and won't fit onscreen without scrolling
Expected results:
Program update should not have affected font size.

I'm seeing a similar but different font problem: For me, the menu bars, folder pane, and list pane are normal, but the message pane and the composition window use enormous fonts, and only Lucida Sans and Lucida Console, regardless of anything I set in my display options or whether I'm displaying the message as HTML or text.
I have no extensions installed, and only the default theme.
I have a high-res screen and have layout.css.dpi set to 143 (at some point this setting was ignored if it was 144 or higher). I tried changing it to 72, 96, 144, and 0, and saw no change.

Well, nearly normal. I just ran into one menu bar oddity: On the Subscribe panel, the scrolling progress bar is stretched out over about twice the proper length, but the scrolling segment is normal size, so there are big gaps in between the places it's displayed.
