Not sure if there's a reason but couldn't find a bug.
Can we make the following redirection;
http://mail.mozilla.com -> https://mail.mozilla.com
Currently there's nothing listening on port 80.
This is more of making it a bit easier for our end-users.

Unfortunately no. There have been probably 15-20 bugs requesting this over the past few years, so don't want to go tracking them down to do a formal dupe, but basically there are some mobile devices out there that will unintelligently send user's credentials in clear text to mail.mozilla.com (not honoring the redirect) and OpSec had us disable anything listening on port 80 on mail.mozilla.com about 3 years ago.
