User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:17.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/17.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20130911042038 Steps to reproduce: ESR 17.09. I have an email address fiona@mfcomputing.com (among four other addresses). Each time I Get Mail from this account, TB picks up the new mail, and also two or three or four emails that I have already received and are already in the Inbox. If I Get Mail again a minute later, it will pick up the same or other old emails. TB works fine with the other four email addresses. Actual results: The Account Settings are: Check for new messages at startup, Check for new messages every 14 minutes, Check automatically download new messages, Check leave messages on server, for 14 days, until I delete them. Advanced: Include this server when getting new mail. Connection security is none, Authentication method: password transmitted insecurely. Expected results: I should receive each message only once. My other accounts work correctly including another @mfcomputing.com address. A few days ago, I got this message several times: "The POP3 mail server (mail.mfcomputing.com) does not support UIDL or XTND XLST, which are required to implement the ``Leave on Server'', ``Maximum Message Size'' or ``Fetch Headers Only'' options. To download your mail, turn off these options in the Server Settings for your mail server in the Account Settings window." I don't get it any more
All is well now. I was having several other minor problems with my computer so went back a couple of weeks with Macrium Reflect and then came back up to the present. I suspect my problem was a PUP that I carelessly allowed in. They're all over these days.
