Hehe missing context :O) Hallvord.
So using iOS Safari there's a menu with Web Images News Maps More on the top.
On Firefox Android, sam layout than iOS but no top menu
On Firefox OS, a lowfi version instead of the normal version and no top menu.
Suggestion for Google:
1. Fix the top menu as suggested above https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=920466#c0
2. Deliver the same version to Firefox OS.

>Sorry for the delay, and thanks for pinging this thread again. I did bring it up with the engineering teams involved and they tried a few quick fixes, but it did not resolve the issue. Unfortunately they don't think they'll be able to expend resources to look further into this in the near future, though we'll keep it on our list.

I'm not sure what the actual state of this issue is. Well, I know Firefox on Android and Firefox OS get a simplified page and probably should get something fancier. But I'm not sure if the specific menu-issue this bug is about is valid:
* Opera Mini gets the simplified site, but no menu - is the top menu removed from the simplified page on purpose
* there is no trace of the menu in the DOM - nor do I see the CSS reported here
I suggest closing this bug (making sure we have another one for the tier-1 experience)

Today, Firefox Beta on Android renders Google news just like Chrome on Android does - both when logged out and logged in. \o/

Does this fix bug 1083932?

@gcp, no I don't think so. bug 1083932 is somehow related to scrolling/animation to the right section--it still reproduces in Nightly.

I'll kill our test, Google News markup has changed so much it's no longer useful and it wasn't a good test in the first place.
