test_bug448534 often hangs while running the "short" tests on server 2013 on Amazon AWS. If I comment out the mp3 test, it always succeeds.

Loading this file in the browser gives me "Video can't be played because the file is corrupt."

Some versions of Windows need to have a "Media Feature Pack" installed in order for Windows Media Foundation to be present. These are usually the "N and KN" versions of Enterprise and Server variants of Windows.

Hmm; that doesn't install/apply to Server 2012 (I keep saying 2013). Is there any other codec pack we could install that would work? (Also the tests could probably use some love here -- they really should fail instead of needing to time out like they do now.)

Ah ha, this is fixed by installing "Desktop Experience" in Server 2012, as per bug 886640 comment 34.
Sorry I did not see this bug earlier. I was affected by the same bug on megatron and went through the same learning experience. :-)
Can this bug be closed now?

Yup, definitely; sorry for not doing it earlier. No need to keep it open, we'll track desktop Experience installation elsewhere. Thanks!
