quite sure this is more a gecko bug
Component: Gaia::SMS → DOM: Device Interfaces

Gene,

Can you confirm if we (on v1.1) are supposed to cover what the tester is doing here? i.e. resume download when interrupted?

If what you're doing is after clicking download button then enable the airplane mode *quickly*, I can reproduce this on V1.1.

We should display the exclamation mark for step #4 and stop the downloading cycle. Users can tap the download button later.

Wait! Even if you enable the airplane mode first then tap the download button, the download circle will still spin there. There was already a bug 904993 fixing this. We had better uplift that for V1.1.

After bug 904993 is uplifted, then we can come back to this one to solve the tricky case at comment #6.
Depends on: 904993
Btw, the bug title says we should automatically resume download when disabling airplane mode. I don't think it's a good idea. Users should only be able to download MMS by tapping the download button under the manual download mode. That's what the *manual* means. Also, what's happening if the SIM would charge lots of money. Making it automatic download under some circumstances doesn't make sense.

Anyway, we still had better uplift bug 904993.

Per off-line discussion with Wayne, we decided to close this one and fire another bug for comment #6.
Hi Gene

1.Disable the MMS auto download mode
2.Send A MMS to test device by using a aluxliay device.
3.Click download the MMS
4.Enable the airplane mode
5.Disable the airplane mode
6.Check whther the MMS can be downloaded successfully.

If we can click the button "download "again, we think this bug is also fixed.
But the bug is that, if we do step 4 & 5 quickly, we did not see the button "download" again, and the UI would stay on "downloading" always.
Minus as it seems to be polish issue.
