1. go to settings -> Sound

Expected: Content volume
Actual: no content volume.  

1. Ringer & notifications are the same as the content channel; there's no indication in the ui for that.

2. It would be nice to have a master volume control and the volume control for all 3.  Maybe a separate bug?

This looks like a UX issue.
1. Content volume is hidden by design because volume rocker could adjust content volume.
2. I never heard the need of adjusting master volume. In android it's hidden, too.

- Well it becomes an odd behavior when you go to the settings -> sound and adjust the hardware volume and none of the volume sliders move.
- Then if you use the lockscreen the ringer& notifications move.  
- When the phone is reset all of them are at top volume which could damage the ears when listening via headphones; this ux issue is amplified when that occurs because it's hard to tell which volume you are adjusting unless you are in the settings.

The UX behind volume control needs to be adjusted to be easier to understand when you're adjusting the control for which volume...

Note:
At some point there was an issue with the vibration and lockscreen,  bug 898821; it seems to be gone.

Uh, what's the needinfo for?

BTW, does put an icon for channel on sound overlay comfort your case? I had an old bug for that...
