User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Ubuntu; Linux x86_64; rv:24.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/24.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20130911163500
Steps to reproduce:
1) Write a new message with misspelled words
2) Send message
3) Write a new message with misspelled words
Actual results:
When writing the first message, the misspelled words correctly get underlined in red by the spellchecker. But after sending the first message, when writing any subsequent message, the spellchecker does not underline any misspelled words (launch spell check will still work, but the misspelled words are not highlighted in the message compose window).
Expected results:
Misspelled words should always be underlined in red in the message compose window, not just in the first message that is being written.

Found the following workaround (from http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2753429):
Open the Config Editor (Edit > Preferences > Advanced > General > button "Config Editor...") and set mail.compose.max_recycled_windows to 0.
This bug still needs to be fixed, but at least there is a workaround...

mail.compose.max_recycled_windows has been removed.
Do you still see this when using a current version?

It seems to work now with the default value of mail.compose.max_recycled_windows = 1.
