Steps to reproduce:

Go to Account Settings -> Add Account -> IRC

Enter IRC server details. At the end of this process, click the Finish button.


Actual results:

The Finish button does not work.. it does nothing.


Expected results:

The Finish button should close the dialog and add the account to thunderbird.

Even if the server details are incorrect, an error should be thrown here rather than doing nothing (if that is what caused this problem).

Also, noteworthy I'm using Fedora x86_64 with Thunderbird 17.0.9. See this link for someone with the same problem on RHEL5:

Is there anything that could be related in the Error Console? (available from the "Tools" menu)

just updated to thunderbird 24 as it recently became available. this problem presists after the update.

In order for us to reproduce the problem, it would help if you could tell us exactly how to reproduce it, i.e. what "IRC server details" you are entering (if that is possible without revealing too much personal data).

Also, can you successfully add an IRC account for a server where we know everything works? (e.g. irc.mozilla.org)
