92518 - Composer does not handle multiple formats from clipboard (tries to paste as image before CF_HTML or raw text)

Running commericial 7/25 build on US Win95.

 - Open MS Excel and create a small spreadsheet
 - Copy the cells
 - Open composer and paste
 - Nothing happens.  Minimally it should paste the text format.

If you paste into Notepad, it pastes the text format.

Mozilla copy&paste seem to be working.  If you paste into the URL bar or
an HTML form, it pastes the text format.  This seems to be a composer bug.

If you open the Windows Clipboard Viewer tool, you will see several formats
in the clipboard included a text format.

Minimally we should past the text format (if it exists), but ideally we
would have a "Paste as..." in composer and it would provide a choice of
formats to paste (e.g., Excel also places a bmp format into the clipboard).

Further it would be nice to have an option to paste text as a table (similar
to the "Create Table from Selection").

I copied from an xls doc.  Pasted into notepad successfully.  Tried to paste
into composer and nothing happened.  

My workaround is to first copy from excel and paste into notepad.  Then copy
the pasted text from notepad and then paste into composer.  Yuck.

This depends on one of pinkerton's patches which should land soon (if it hasn't
already).

this landed on the trunk as part of 69566. it's not yet on the brach. we're
still fighting that war with ADT.

This is not a exactly a dup of 69566 "Support pasting of CF_HTML flavor".

I reported this before switching laptops.  Back then I was on Win95 and I think
I was running Office97 which does not support CF_HTML.

Nothing at all was pasted -- even the plaintext format which was one of the
formats Excel put into the clipboard.

Does the fix for 69566 includes a fix for this scenario too?  But the comment
in that bug states:
> office97 does _not_ support copying HTML. so don't use office97 to test
> whether this functionality works.

Should we reopen this bug to test the non-CF-HTML cases?

BTW, my new laptop has Office2000, so I cannot verify what I tried before...
