Go to any habitually slow website with movies (Ad Critic is a fine example of this) and select a movie. Generally within a few seconds the status bar will read "Dcoument:Done (3.xxx secs)". Eventually a few seconds later, the QuickTime movie player appears on the screen... and then nothing. What you're not seeing, is the fact that it is downloading the 1MB+ movie at 900 bytes per second. If you wait long enough, the QuickTime streaming bar will eventually start to fill in, giving an indication that something is actually happening. All in all though a poor user experience.
