This can be reproduced on both V1.2 and V1.3.

STR:
1. Create a contact with a phone number
2. Make a call to the contact
3. Go to Dialer -> Call log
4. Tap on the contact entry
   --> You will see Contacts page is loaded first and then contact details is shown.

I think it would be better if we directly show contact details.

I'm moving this to contacts because all we're saying in Dialer is : "Please, show us this contact".

It's up to the Contacts app to improve the flow here.

This feature is out of the scope for v1.3. Calling from Call log was implemented in that way because patent issues.

Now for v1.4 in US Bug 920011 is being discussed how to do it so you can follow the track there.

I will remove the 1.3? flag and resolve this bug as duplicated of that US

This is not a duplicate. Bug 920011 is about the ability to call from the call log.

This bug is about removing the flash of the "contact list" when we go from call log to contact details.

I'm not asking for 1.3+ again as it is not a blocker at all. It has always been like that (afaict). It's a nice enhancement but definitely not a release blocker.

Hi folks,

was just commenting in bug 959256, sounds to me the same solution, being able to navigate to contacts detail view directly.

IMHO, this could be easily achievable once the work by Michal is done regarding the contacts haydification. We will need to go through a refactor in the navigation, but will have splited the app in documents, so sounds easy to me to open directly the details view without going through the list.

This bug does not occurs anymore on the latest build of Flame KK 2.5&2.6 and Aries KK 2.5&2.6 by the STR in comment 0. So I close this bug, if anyone can repro it, please reopen again, thanks. 

Actual results: When long tapping a call log and selecting "Call Information" for the contact entry, then tapping the Contact detail button, the blue background flashes for 0.5 second in first and then directly enters contact detail page.
