  Since swapping Sense for CyanogenMod, Fennec's sync is the only thing that locks up my system.


We should profile this, with the goal of making the decision of whether to sync really cheap, and ideally making syncs themselves cheaper.

(My suspicion is that Paul's problem is loading cipher suites: we observed that on some devices, code that does hashing will cause the classloader to pull in hundreds of cipher suite entries.)
