94937 - mail client - why only POP3 & IMAP?! need "local"

sorry for selecting component="Browser-General". i can't find "mail client"

bug/request: mail client can only do POP3&IMAP
why i cannot just use /var/mail/mailbox on unix system ?!
it's nonsense to fetch my mail through localhost.

There's an entire "MailNews" Product. And now i'm going to have to dupe your 
bug against movemail, since i think that's what you want. Hrm, you didn't 
include a build id or anything, not very nice. please try following the bug 
reporting guidelines and stuff.
