User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.2; WOW64; rv:26.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/26.0 (Beta/Release) Build ID: 20131205075310 Steps to reproduce: I downloaded a PDF file attached to an email. Actual results: The "downloaded files" pop-up window opened briefly, then closed immediately (on Firefox, it stays open). I had to click on the Tools > Downloaded files menu to open it again. Expected results: The "downloaded files" pop-up window should have stayed open, to allow managing downloaded files. For example, thanks to the "downloaded files" window, one can open directly an "explorer window" of the directory the downloaded file is located in. Thanks in advance for your help!
I think this is by design. There are even bugs that want to hide even this flashing download manager as it is out of place in Thunderbird (just inherited from Firefox). But if you want to use it and make more visible (stay open), it is a valid request.

Thanks :aceman. I understand that some people would prefer to get rid of this flashing window, but I do think it is quite convenient to have a visible download manager in Thunderbird too, since it provides very neat features. Therefore, my request would be to make it more visible (stay open), as in Firefox. Thanks in advance!
