Firefox OS will be released in 3 new resolution devices. Because of this, the branded start-up animation will need to be modified to fit these new screen resolutions.

We need the same animations that branding provided for v.1.1 HD versions in the following screen resolutions: 

qHD 540x960/ 262.25ppi
720p 720x1280/ 293.72ppi 
FWVGA 480x854/ 217.7ppi

Question on this - I know that someone within the UX team actually built out those animations as it is done with a series of PNGs and not an actual single animation. 

I have static pose versions of the initlogo.png, but don't actually have all the frames for the animation.

Who created the PNG animation on the UX team? If they could be added to the bug, that'd be awesome.

Hi John, 

Thanks for following up. This is actually for Helen, one of the visual designers in Taipei who is resizing graphics for the new resolutions. Helen were you able to find these/are they still needed?

Please see Bug 1005771 - I need to know which branding tier these animations apply to and whether it is required or optional for the OEM/Operator to use the animations.

Hi Karen. Per my recent email, any fox-related animations or illustrations apply to the Co-Branded tier (not Powered By). As for the details on what's required vs what's optional, I'll refer you to legal for that. Probably best to talk to someone like Jishnu who can confirm those details with more accuracy.
