While this somewhat works, when hovering over an history item from the Menu Panel->History the list History list jumps, and/or the highlighted item will drop to the next item down, and no URL is displayed, its very touch-and-go getting a selected History item to display the URL due the history list jumping down.

Tested on latest hourly build m-c cset:

win7 x64 win32 build.

Changing this to Major - Its also nigh impossible with the jumping to re-open an history item from the Hamburger Menu -> History.

Perhaps a backout of 941568 is in order since Jaws is going to be PTO in a day or so till the New Year...

I'm reluctant to back it out since I can't reproduce this at all. Can you reproduce this in safe mode with all add-ons disabled? Or with a clean profile?

OK, my bad ! I know better when reporting issues to take all the trouble-shooting stuff. Its related to the CTR addon. I'll report the issue with Aria. Want me to close this INVALID ?
Thanks for the quick follow-up.

Your welcome, Enjoy your PTO , and Happy Holiday's to you.

More testing has revealed that its not CTR (Classic Theme Restore) addon.

Its related to the amount of history being displayed from the History button in the Menu panel. If the History list is long enough it extends down behind the taskbar, with history items visible through the glass and the link to 'show all history' is off the bottom on the screen. Once this occurs mousing of history items causes the history list to jump up/down making selection difficult and the display of the URL intermittent to not at all because you can't catch up with the bounce.

If you don't have enough history to expand down behind the taskbar, shrink the window and drag it down until the history when opened form the Menu Panel -> History button goes behind the taskbar or even a little beyond. Now you should see the jumping.

This issue may already be known, if so please feel free to dupe to correct bug. It would seem off the top of my head that the History when opened from the Menu Panel should be limited in length to not extend beyond the limits of the Main window and activate a usable scroll-bar. I see a scroll bar, but its not enough to drag up the bottom of the history display to show the 'show all history' link.

See attached screen-shot of the History panel extending beyond the taskbar.

OK, more testing and I now have a good idea what the problem is...

I run my win7 machine at 125% setting so that I can see things. Otherwise for me, the font is just too small, not only in Firefox, but all my applications, thus running in 125% mode.

I believe there have been bugs related to users running at 125% in the past, but I don't recall what was needed to fix the problem. I'm hoping something can be done as IE and Chrome run ok under 125% settings, and I've not noticed any real problems.
Summary: Selection of History item in Australis is impossible due to list jumping → Selection of History item in Australis is impossible due to list jumping with 125% setting in Win7

Recent changes to the layout of the MenuPanel items, and History its now even worse than my original screenshot. Only 8 of possible 15 + show all bookamarks is visible.

Even placing the History button on the Navbar all of the History is not visible.

I would suggest that 'Recent Closed Tabs' / Recent Closed Windows be put into a 'flyout' type arrangement as is done when displaying History from the Windows Menu , and like the old Firefox App-button used to display. The extreme spacing to allow for 'touch' screens is taking way too much vertical space, IMO.

As it is right now there are going to be a number of complaints about the History issues from users that use a higher DPI due to aging eyes.
OH, forgot to mention that the 'jumpiness' reported initially in this bug seems have gone away with the recent layout changes in the MenuPanelUI.

This is how it looks after the recent font changes to the MenuPanelUI
