When doing many functions at www.united.com (United Airlines) pages don't render
in a usable fashion. I have been able to duplicate this by going to
http://www.united.com and selecting "create itinerary" (this requires a UA
frequent flyer number and password). At this point a screen will appear "
Please wait while we retrieve the information." with a series of flashing blue
bullets underneath. This should be followed by a page for entering flight
information, but the "retrieving information" page persists with the text "SJC"
(my default airport) underneath. Viewing page source suggests that the intended
webpage is present, just not visible. Sorry, I'm not a developer nor competent
HTML coder, so I can't diagnose the underlying HTML to determine the problem.
I've also seen this problem when attempting to build an itinerary as a guest.

Hmm. I was looking at the united.com site over the past few days as I had
relatives flying in on United so i was checking their flight status. I noticed
this but swore that it had been reported already. Now that I am looking for a
dupe I can't find one.
This is a definite evangelism bug. They mention in the "compatible browsers"
page that NS 6 is not compatible. They recommend getting NS 4.0 - 4.7x.
They're also using layers, IIRC.
