I know this is a very general description and there are a lot of fixed or invalid bugs wrt IPv6, but I do not have the knowledge to pin it down further. Please instruct me on how to provide useful additional information.

I configured my internet provider to use IPv6. I told openSUSE to use IPv6. A few days ago, FF and TB both were not able to make a connection to the internet anymore, whereas all other programs had no problem. I found out that at some time in the past, I had set

network.dns.disableIPv6

to true. I vaguely remember somebody told me to do so via chat because indeed when I configured the router to use IPv6, FF and TB had problems. This solved them. Now, switching it back to false made me able to access Google (and Gmail via Thunderbird) and some other sites, but most sites still did not work. Switching off IPv6 via Yast (openSUSE configuration manager) and restart made everything work fine, so I could access this site.

This reminds me of comment 20 on bug 136898, and from the description, also bug 246193.
@ Hendrik Maryns : Be careful, IPv6 is a major revolution for the Internet. Internet use IP protocol for working and with IPv6 a lot of thing must be reviewed for ajustement.

I could give a personnel example. I use a FAI who give me IPv6. I change it a choose a new one with give IPv6 too. But, with them, i could send email from on of my email's account. It's Thunderbird fault ?? No, only my new FAI use a specific technology ipv6 6in4 and previsously it's 6rd (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPv6_transition_mechanisms). I must write this in terminal:
net.ipv6.conf.eth{X}.mtu = 1280 (don't ask me, i understand nothing about this).

In a lot of forum, user suggest to set network.dns.disableIPv6=true for give Firefox faster. But, they never ask if they have IPv6 from their FAI.

If you have IPv6, Firefox check the website in IPv6 and after that Firefox check the website in IPv4.
If you have IPv4 only, Firefox only check the website in IPv4.

Google are very carefull with eyeball and always want more speed for them. If a FAI don't have a good IPv6 technology, google don't let them to have IPv6 acess to ggogle's website (if my memory is good, may be it change now).

I suggest you ask your FAI, why Firefox (you don't say if it work with another browser) could not have a fast access with IPv6.
