Ynet, is a leading news site in Israel, and have recently updated their video player to support HTML5 Video. Their video player provide Firefox a Flash fallback, while providing other browsers native video support. Example page: http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-4464398,00.html Steps to reproduce: 1. Disable Flash Player from the Addons → Plugins page. 2. Visit the article link above. Actual result: Error message "Video format or MIME type is not supported." Video link points to http://ynethd-i.akamaihd.net/i/1213/1212131153jerus33_768Kbps_360p.mp4/master.m3u8, which is an Akamai service, and as far as I can tell the problem is that Firefox doesn't supports the m3u playlist format (while there are some javascript-based workarounds?), and this problem could be common to some other video streaming sites that use Akamai services. I've sent a message to their support team 3 weeks ago, and received no reply so far.

From WeeklyUpdates/2014-01-13 wiki page: * M3U8/HLS streaming support recently landed in Firefox Mobile. Still work to do for FxOS and <video @src> support. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=780379

<video> element with M3U8 source is bug 941351 - marking blocker (could also just close it as dup, I suppose)

Setting to notcontactready, because this should be fixed in Gecko.

A recent update of the site make HTML5 videos playable, including the video on the link in the bug summary. While the videos actually works, the full screen button doesn't behave as expected. The video player is FlowPlayer. See also: https://community.mozilla.org.il/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12524
Thanks Tomer. When I go to http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-4464398,00.html, click play on a video then click on fullscreen it works as expected. Can you give STR to show what you mean by "doesn't behave as expected"? Thanks!

Summary: ynet.co.il — HTML5 Video not working in Firefox → ynet.co.il — video fullscreen not working in Firefox
(In reply to Mike Taylor [:miketaylr] from comment #5) > When I go to http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/0,7340,L-4464398,00.html, click > play on a video then click on full screen it works as expected. On the current release version, full screen button doesn't seems to work correctly, but on developer builds (I've tested both 51 and 52) full screen works as expected. I guess we have nothing to do, and we should just wait until all users gets the update…

Ah, OK. My bad for only testing in Dev Edition and not Release. Typically we close things as FIXED when they're fixed on the Nightly channel, so let's do the same here.
