I went to print out the trash schedule for my city today using pdf.js but it came out so garbled that it is unusable.

What version of FF? Looks fine when printed to pdf and to real printer from nightly for me.

Printing to PDF came out fine here too so maybe it is printer specific?

Reproduced intermittently using Firefox 30 RC 20140603140158 under Win 7 64-bit, Ubuntu 12.10 32-bit and Mac OSX 10.8.5. The glyphs can be also seen in print preview.
OS: Mac OS X → All
Hardware: x86 → All
