Details

(Keywords: regression)

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 (Beta/Release)
Build ID: 20140203004003

Steps to reproduce:

A webpage failed to load due to the connection timing out, leading to the "Problem loading page" screen.

Actual results:

"Problem loading page" screen. In the screen the following text is displayed with extraneous characters - I've highlighted the unexpected text with square brackets below:

The connection has timed out
The server at -redacted- is taking too long to respond.[&f=regular]

Expected results:

The "&f=regular" text should not have displayed. I suspect this is a string formatting error.
Confirmed e.g. with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:28.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/28.0 ID:20140203004003 CSet: 3d9d920ca43b

and Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:30.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/30.0 ID:20140205030203 CSet: 1f170f9fead0

It seems all neterror pages are affected like when opening "a://b" (without quotes).

Thanks Alice, you're absolutely right. I didn't find that bug when I searched for existing reports. Thanks for pointing it out.

Kind regards,
