RESOLVED DUPLICATE of bug 570787

Details

User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/32.0.1700.107 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce:

When doing a search, one first gets a list of emails. Next either click an email or click "open email as list" One gets a tab similar to main mail view.

You just did a search to locate an email, so presumably it is of interest to anyone (certainly me) what folder it is in. However, location is missing from the columns on that tab, and adding location to that tab is forgotten next time you search and open a similar tab.

So request can be addressed by 1) adding location by default to columns in the "open email as list" tab, or (preferably IMHO the next item) 2) the columns on the search tab opened for "open email as list" will remember the prior settings and layout, as do static folders.

Actual results:

Every time one clicks "open email as list" the prior colums/layout settings are lost

Expected results:

Remember the last settings of columns/layout the next time open email as list (or individual email) is opened from search tab.
These are fixed by bug 522768 and bug 570787
This will be available in version 31.
Or, if you want to try it sooner it is in the current beta version available from http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/channel/ - protect your data appropriately before using beta.
