tab curve cut off after dragging a tab to front or end

With an overflowing tab bar, dragging a tab to the front or end makes the tab curve disappear (scrolled off the screen) after dropping the tab.

I meant to say "scrolled off view" not off the screen of course.

I think this may also be related to bug 946762 comment #1 where Firefox starts in that situation. Both times scrolling to the cut off tab curve's side doesn't work with the mouse wheel or two finger scroll.
I think we've had (and fixed) similar bugs when opening a new tab, maybe the same fix needs to be applied to the D'n'D case?

I remember bug 875180 which I filed and Jared fixed. Perhaps ensureElementIsVisible doesn't get called in this case?
