Steps to reproduce:

There was just an emergency alert in San Francisco about an amber alert in Oakland. All of my coworkers received a CMAS message about it, and my provider participates in that program, and I have cell phone reception.


Actual results:

The CMAS message was not displayed on my device.


Expected results:

I should have seen the CMAS message.

I was able to reproduce this on the latest 1.4. Marcia saw this on the latest 1.3 build. Looks like cell broadcast is busted.

Change that - we actually did get the amber alert on the 1.3 & 1.4 devices.

I'm on OPEN_US_DEV_FFOS_V1.0.0B01 for what it's worth. Maybe this is an old bug.

I actually still haven't gotten it on any of my devices. We should probably try to figure out why John's device got them and why I didn't.

Let me reopen this then to keep analyzing why some people got the amber alert & others didn't.

On my Buri running 1.4 with AT&T SIM, I only got the alert after I reflashed the device this morning. I got a total of two alerts on the device including one before I had ever started the first run on the phone after resetting.

The Sora device that had a TMobile card never got an alert (running 1.3).
